So, I was unexpectedly dragged away from internet when I got sick October 5 with Covid. I'm recovering at home with my husband, who is suffering from mid-term Covid related complications.

To explain, we got sick on October 5. It felt like a cold at first few days. I remember thinking, "This isn't so bad, we'll be back to normal in no time." It got much worse around day 6 or 7. Day 10 I had a fever and remember being very thirsty and tired. I didn't know at the time, but I was suffering from acute hypoxemic respiratory failure, and my blood oxygen level was in the danger zone. That night, if I had fallen asleep, there was a good chance I would have slipped into a coma and died.

They took me to the hospital and spent ten days there on the quarantine floor, not allowed visitors, even my husband. I was too weak to do anything except browse my phone sometimes. It was very nice to come home and hug my husband and dog!

Then I got home and an ice storm hit the area. Thank goodness power flickered but didn't go out, because there was no way anyone would have been able to deliver me oxygen with those iced roads. Then internet went out, just got it back a week ago. Shortly after that, the power company shut off the power to the neighborhood for repairs. We struggled to get oxygen delivered for three days, but luckily it came back and my oxygen unit that plugs into an outlet took over (whew, so relieving)

Then Awiiz got sick. We are both immunocompromised and suspect he caught strep and another viral infection. He has visited the ER three times, and he's feeling so much better today. I hope it's all healing from here on and not getting sicker. The real stress now is hospital bills lol, oh god there is a lot.

I already had asthma and lung issues, which is a factor in why Covid hit so hard and almost killed me. I'll probably have long-term health issues, possibly permanent lung issues. It's hard to say because Covid is still a relatively new disease. I'm not very old for a Covid patient, but I almost died. It's so very dangerous.
